　　Liancheng Assets Appraisal Firm (which is now called Liancheng Assets Appraisal Co. Ltd. (LCAA)) under the State Patent Office (which is now called the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO)) was established in August 1994 for the purpose of providing services to investors and the large number of owners of IP. As the first evaluation institution for intangible assets in China, the launch of the firm obtained great attention from the major media overseas and in China. AFP, AP, the CCTV, the People's Daily, the Economic Daily, the Business Times, the International Business Daily, the China Daily and the Legal Daily have all reported the event.

　　In the past few years, LCAA has relied on its own advantages to establish an authoritative status in intangible assets evaluation and has gained trust from over hundreds of well-known units and organisations including Emerson Electronic Corp., the Organising Committee of China Investment and Trade Negotiation Fair, as well as Shengli Oil, Kaiji Electronics of Hong Kong. LCAA also has its unique sensibility to the policy or regulation changes in intangible assets evaluation. The evaluation reports of LCAA are widely used in business activities, such as private replacement, ownership reform of enterprises, resolve of intellectual property disputes, hypothecated loan, clearance of enterprises.
